Profiles, Community and more, Users Ultra

Users Ultra
Don’t forget this name.

Users-Ultra1

I have looked at a lot of plugins in my time working with WordPress. Always looking for something that would give me the ability to create memberships (paid and free), have Frontend profiles, Mail, Friends, Frontend Posts and Albums. The problem has always been, for me, that I had to sacrifice something to get other things I wanted.

Sure, I can put a bunch of plugins together and come up with what I was looking for, but I don’t like having to have a bunch of plugins to accomplish what I think should be covered in one. For me, when there is a free plugin on WordPress.org that does what a paid plugin does and/or more, looks good and functions well, there is no question. I will go with the free plugin.

Anyone who knows me, knows I can be quite long winded. I can go on and on about what I like and dislike with reference to a plugin or a theme. But, this one you have to check out for yourself.

I think, looking at the plugin and the documentation that is available, it is an easy choice to make. Here are some of the features this plugin has.

Some of the features that stand out for me are the membership module that offers paid and free membership levels. Multiple options for registration: moderated, automatic login after registration and email verification. Multiple albums for users with galleries. Friends, Mail, Frontend posting from the frontend user dashboard with listing of the user’s posts right there as well. And shortcodes with options are a major plus. Users Ultra also works well with bbPress.

The plugin is free. You can use it on unlimited amount of sites. And the support is good.

I must say, it is still in Beta. So, you can expect that there are still a few wrinkles to work out, but given what I have seen, that won’t take very long. New and enhanced features are being added almost daily.

For me, this is a plugin worth watching and trying out.

Take a look at the plugin. Install it. Take it for a spin (so to speak).
